RAF Digby & Metheringham

On Tuesday 9th of March Class Jamaica went on a visit to RAF Digby & Metheringham as part of our topic of WWII; to see the military aspects of WWII times.

We saw the fantastic real life Anderson Shelter and experienced the deafening noise of the air-raid siren as well as that at Metheringham we experienced what it would be like to be an evacuee and a military personal.

During our visit at Digby we saw the control room of an old fashion airbase. There were lots of experiences from wireless with Morse code to real life clothing worn by workers in the War.
